A Remote Online Notary (RON) notarizes documents digitally through a secure video platform.
The process is simple: upload your document, verify your identity, connect with a notary via live video, and e-sign. The notary then applies a digital seal, making it legally valid — all from the comfort of your home or office.

Real estate transactions and loan signings involve numerous legal documents, such as deeds, mortgages, and trust agreements, all requiring notarization. A mobile notary facilitates these transactions and loan signings by traveling to borrowers, buyers, or sellers to verify identities, witness signatures, and notarize all necessary documents. They ensure accuracy, prevent delays, and provide a seamless closing experience.

An acknowledgment is a statement by a signer that they have signed a document. The signer must appear before the notary and acknowledge that they signed the document. The notary then completes a notarial certificate, which is attached to the document.
An affidavit is a sworn statement of facts. The signer must swear or affirm to the truthfulness of the statements in the affidavit in the presence of the notary. The mobile notary then completes a jurat, which is a notarial certificate that is attached to the affidavit.

Many documents require notarization before they can be submitted for an apostille. A mobile notary can come to your location to witness the signing of the document and affix their notary seal, making it eligible for the next step in the apostille process.
While a mobile notary doesn't issue the apostille itself (done by a designated government office), they can often provide guidance on the process.
